Overview

Released in 1999, the Yamaha XV1600 Road Star made a huge impact on the cruiser scene with what was, at the time, the largest production V-twin engine at a whopping 1,600cc. It combined classic, low-slung styling with a clever hidden rear suspension for a "hardtail" look. The Road Star's appeal was also in its immense potential for personalization, making it a favourite for riders looking to create a truly custom machine.

This 1/12 scale kit from Tamiya builds into a fully optioned, customised version of the mighty Yamaha XV1600 Road Star. The model is loaded with custom parts, including a large windshield, extra passing lights, a deeply studded seat and tandem pillion pad, a passenger backrest, and realistic leather-look side bags. This is all built around a super-detailed V-twin engine with individual cooling fins, a mix of chrome and matte plated parts, and two marking options from the year 2000.
