Overview

Announced in April 2021, the Toyota GR 86 continues the legacy of the front-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports car. Powered by a new 2.4-litre horizontally opposed boxer engine, its lightweight body employs aluminium panels and motorsport-derived aerodynamic components to deliver a direct and comfortable driving experience for its owner.

This 1/24 scale kit from Tamiya is a detailed replica of this modern sports car. The model features a faithfully depicted 2.4-litre boxer engine, which can be viewed under the openable hood. The chassis underside and suspension are succinctly reproduced, and the kit includes premium components such as metal transfers for mirrors and metal-plated parts for the lights and exhaust tips.
