Overview

The British infantryman, or "Tommy", of the First World War wore the distinctive P02 field uniform and P08 functional equipment, all in a low-visibility khaki tone. As the war progressed, the iconic dish-shaped helmet was issued to protect against shrapnel and other battlefield dangers. These soldiers endured the brutal conditions of trench warfare on the Western Front, armed with weapons like the Lee-Enfield rifle and the Lewis light machine gun.

This 1/35 scale set, Tamiya's first foray into World War I subjects, includes five British infantry figures.
