2026 marks the 40th anniversary of Book of Love’s self-titled debut album, originally released on April 1st, 1986.
The album includes their hit “Boy” which was initially released as a single in 1985 and peaked at number 7 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart. After the success of “Boy,” the band was asked to open for Depeche Mode in 1985. Once the band returned from tour, they recorded “I Touch Roses” which also became a club classic, peaking at number 8 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play.
For the 40th anniversary, we will release a 1LP color vinyl of the original album.
